Bobina receptora de un “Fork Relay”.
La bobina, dentro de un fuerte campo magnético, suministrado por un imán permanente, actuaba un par de contactos de oro (abajo en la fotografía) al recibir las señales del cable submarino.
Coil assembly of a “Fork Relay”.
The coil was connected to the submarine cable and being subject to a very strong magnetic field (supplied by a permanent magnet) would actuate a pair of gold contacts when receiving signals.
